Instead, by downloading Recycle Coach™, City of Laredo residents can check details for regular and special collections. The app also allows you to set reminders and alerts for garbage, recycle and special collection schedules. Once you download Recycle Coach™ in iTunes and Google Play, you will need to input your city and address information to see details on collection schedule and options to set up reminders or alerts.

Regular updates on the mobile app will occur throughout the year to ensure the information is current.

Items accepted in the recycling blue bin

Check the list before placing items into the bins.

The City of Laredo wants to thank you so much for your commitment to recycling correctly. We recently launched an advertising campaign to promote recycling and educate everyone on what goes into the Billie Blue recycling bin, such as paper, cardboard, metal cans, and plastic containers. In addition, this campaign explains what shouldn’t go into the recycling because it is garbage. Do not throw “tangler” items, such as hoses, ropes, or clothing, into the recycling bin. Do not recycle plastic wrap, plastic bags, bagged recyclables, hazardous materials, or “DIRTY” items, such as dirty diapers, food, or yard waste. To learn more, watch our new ad at
